About the vacancy

As our Site Agent, you will be responsible for leading site operations, ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme and in line with quality and compliance standards.

In this role, you’ll:

• Deliver day-to-day responsibilities aligned with team and organisational objectives

• Collaborate with colleagues, stakeholders, and external partners to achieve key outcomes

• Manage and prioritise tasks to meet deadlines and performance targets

• Analyse information and provide clear, actionable insights to support decision-making

• Maintain accurate records, documentation, and reporting standards

• Identify opportunities for improvement and contribute to process enhancements

• Ensure compliance with relevant policies, procedures, and safety standards

• Provide excellent service and support to internal and/or external customers

• Use systems, tools, and technology effectively to carry out duties

• Contribute to team meetings, planning sessions, and continuous improvement activities

We’d love to hear from you if you have:

• Experience carrying out or working with risk assessments on site

• A good understanding of health, safety, and environmental requirements, including Network Rail standards

• A strong commitment to working safely and looking after the environment day to day

• Good communication skills, both written and spoken

What we’re looking for:

• A proven background working on civil engineering projects within a rail environment

• An engineering background, ideally with a minimum of an HNC in Civil Engineering

• Appropriate site certifications, including CSCS and PTS

• Understanding of how to work safely and effectively in a rail setting, following all relevant standards and procedures

• Someone who can support and motivate those around you to deliver work to a high standard

• Knowledge of steel repairs, bridge replacement, or refurbishment works (advantageous but not essential)

• A practical, hands-on approach and are willing to get stuck in where needed
