40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 7:00am – 4:00pm (with 1 hour unpaid break)
About the vacancy

We are seeking an experienced Works Supervisor to join our growing Rail Arboriculture team operating on rail sites around the Midlands.

As Works Supervisor you will assist with overseeing the safe and compliant delivery of works by our field teams throughout the rail network around the Midlands.  Rail experience is therefore essential.

You will lead and motivate teams, providing safe and ways of working through delivery of Toolbox talks and task and SSOW briefings. Strong communication skills, industry knowledge and a calm pragmatic approach is essential.

The ideal candidate will proactively liaise with the Works Manager to ensure projects are delivered in line with client requirements and to the highest standards. You will be required to undertake site audits and inspections, and well as produce accurate scoping of works.

As well as sharing the ethos and values of our Company, you will:

• have significant recent experience in a similar supervisory role.

• Be skilled in rail vegetation clearance and may also have experience of climbing and/or mechanised arboriculture.

• Hold PTS, COSS, SSSTS

• Have a UK driving licence and be comfortable driving to sites across the Midlands.

In addition, you will be a self-motivated team member who can work both independently and as part of a team.  You will take pride in your work and complete tasks to a high standard.  As you will be field-based for the majority of your time, you must be happy to work in all that the British weather has to offer!
